About the Role
The Storekeeper will be responsible for the management and control of stock, coordinating with suppliers, and supervising store staff. This position is ideal for candidates with at least 2 years of experience in logistics and a Matric certificate. Experience in hospitality is a bonus, but training will be provided to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Placing orders and liaising with suppliers
Issuing stock and groceries to departments
Supervising fridge, freezer, and storeroom areas
Conducting weekly and monthly stock takes
Maintaining hygiene and HSE compliance
Quality checking all stock and food items
Working closely with the Project and Catering Managers
Ensuring storerooms are locked and organized
Assisting in maintaining stock ratio and inventory levels
This is a contract-based position linked to a commercial agreement. Weekend availability may be required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Matric certificate
2+ years experience in a logistics environment
Basic computer literacy and numerical skills
Excellent time management and delegation abilities
Good communication and planning skills
Previous supervisory experience is a strong advantage
Familiarity with “Worksmart” systems is beneficial
