About the Position
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for general upkeep and repairs across WeBuyCars’ branches and pods. This includes everything from handyman tasks to electrical fixes, painting, welding, grinding, and maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of facilities. The role is vital to ensuring a clean, safe, and operational environment for employees and customers alike.
This is an entry-level position, making it ideal for someone who has basic experience in maintenance and a valid driver’s license. You’ll need to be comfortable with travel between branches and provinces, as the role includes on-site work across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- General Repairs & Handyman Duties
Minor maintenance work at pods and branches.
Door hinge, lock, and handle repairs or replacements.
- Electrical Repairs
Basic electrical fault fixes and maintenance.
- Painting & Surface Repairs
Touch-ups and complete paint jobs ensuring professional finish.
Concrete wall repairs as needed.
- Welding and Grinding
Execute welding tasks for structural or aesthetic purposes.
Precision grinding for surface smoothing and prep.
- Furniture & Fixture Maintenance
Repair office and customer furniture.
Maintain the look and function of various fixtures.
- High-Access Cleaning Tasks
Cleaning areas like walls, mounted posters, lights, pillars, cameras, and more.
Ensuring hard-to-reach zones are hygienic and appealing.
- Pod Maintenance
Clean interior and exterior of pods.
Maintain surrounding paving and furniture.
- Daily Reporting
Communicate daily with the regional or national facilities manager.
Report completed tasks, risks, or issues affecting safety or operations.
Requirements
To qualify for the role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Minimum Grade 12 education.
Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal).
Relevant experience in a similar role is a plus.
A valid driver’s license is essential.
