In this rewarding role, you’ll be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for residents within a healthcare environment. You’ll work closely with dietary needs, safety standards, and food hygiene protocols to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve meals that meet dietary and health guidelines
Follow standard operating procedures and food safety regulations
Support the kitchen team in maintaining hygiene and organization
Understand and accommodate special dietary requirements
Comply with organizational safety and health policies
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 / Matric
Professional Cookery Certificate or similar culinary qualification
At least 2 years of cooking experience in a healthcare or institutional setting
Knowledge of special diets (diabetic, soft, vegetarian, etc.)
Understanding of organizational safety practices
