About the Position
As an Assistant Leader, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Store Leader in managing daily operations, maximizing sales, and driving team performance. You’ll help create an inspiring store environment that reflects the Cape Union Mart spirit – adventure, authenticity, and exceptional service.
Your leadership will ensure the store runs efficiently, customers leave satisfied, and team members feel empowered to deliver excellence every day.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the management of all store operations and activities.
Drive sales performance to achieve and exceed turnover and profit goals.
Minimise shrinkage by monitoring and managing stock-related risks.
Deliver exceptional customer service through the company’s experience strategy.
Support talent management, including recruitment, coaching, and retention of team members.
Implement innovative visual merchandising to optimize sales and brand visibility.
Uphold company policies, operational procedures, and compliance standards.
Maintain a safe and healthy workplace environment in line with Health & Safety practices.
Inspire and motivate the team to align with company culture and deliver top performance.
Foster a fun, engaging, and results-oriented store atmosphere.
